The Bastia City Council was established this Saturday, March 28th. New faces have entered the city and some political forces are represented for the first time: Core in Fronte in the majority, the PNC and the far right in the opposition.
The new mayor of Bastia, who found a chair he had abandoned in 2016 to preside over the Community of Corsica, explained in his first speech his choice to wear only briefly the tricolor scarf, addressing to the state an ultimatum on the autonomy of Corsica.
The city council of Bastia was installed this Saturday, March 28th. Gilles Simeoni regains his position as the city's first magistrate with 31 votes, against 9 for Julien Morganti and 3 white ballots.
