Corn up, cotton and wheat down in planting intentions

Producers declared their intentions of planting 5% more corn than in the previous year in the year’s first survey-based acreage report. Surveyed growers said they planned to plant 95.3 million acres of corn. Growers planned to plant 83.5 million acres of soybeans, down 4% from 2024, and 45.4 million acres of wheat, down 2%.
