Digital copies of Fryderyk Chopin's manuscripts and correspondence will be deposited at the World Arctic Archives in a closed, deep-underground coal mine in Longyerbyen on Svalbard, a Norwegian archipelago located in the middle of the Arctic Ocean. The deposit ceremony at the site, known as the Library of the End of the World, will take place on Thursday, February 26th.
Digital copies of Chopin's manuscripts, as well as the composer's correspondence, will be deposited at the World Arctic Archive this Thursday. This will be the second deposit made there by the Chopin Institute, Dr. Marcin Konik from the Fryderyk Chopin Institute told PAP. The archive is called the Library of the End of the World.
