After more than a day of extra time, the UN Climate Change Conference finally passed a decision that many had already questioned: the majority of delegates voted in favor of accepting the new financial framework. Although the compromise now reached provides for a significant increase in the existing funds, it also fell noticeably short of the demands of poorer countries.
