Conviction of ex-Pa cop for personal use of police records system upheld

WILLIAMSPORT — A state Superior Court panel has upheld the conviction of a former Williamsport police corporal for unauthorized use of the state police records system.Eric Derr, 41, was found guilty on 28 counts of misuse of the police JNET records system and was sentenced in November 2024 to 13 to 28 months’ probation, with the first year on house arrest with electronic monitoring. He also was fined $2,800.
