"I was not aware of the transfer to Barcelos of a trailer seized as part of a legal process," assured the former deputy national director of the PJ (Judicial Police) responsible for managing seized assets.
Luísa Proença, deputy national director of the Judicial Police when Luís Neves was in the agency, was surprised by the departure of the trailer seized to the North, where she was found in possession of the contractor hired by the now MAI. "I had no knowledge of the trip to Barcelos," she explained.
It would be common for Luís Neves to make decisions without the knowledge of his deputy. Luísa Proença says he still does not understand what happened and that he must now be the Minister of Internal Administration to give explanations.
