While Lithuania prohibits the sale of electronic cigarettes with fruit, dessert and other non-tobacco flavors and does not allow sweeteners in such liquids, inspections by the State Consumer Rights Protection Service show that nine out of ten electronic cigarettes do not meet the requirements.
Although Lithuania has banned the sale of electronic cigarettes with non-tobacco flavors for four years, and liquids with sweeteners for two years, 96 percent of inspected products do not comply with the requirements of legal acts, says Goda Aleksaitė, head of the State Consumer Rights Protection Service (VVTAT).
