The Constitutional Court (CC) rejected four proposals by President Daniel Noboa seeking to eliminate the Council of Citizen Participation and Social Control (CPCCS), allow for political trial proceedings against CC judges, return of casinos in hotels and allow chemical castration for convicted rape.
