The Indian National Congress on Thursday suspended senior Jammu and Kashmir leaders Mohammad Anwar Bhat and Bashir Ahmed Khan from the party's primary membership with immediate effect over alleged anti-party activities. The action, approved by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, comes nearly two weeks after a three-member fact-finding committee completed its initial inquiry into infighting and indiscipline within the J&K unit.
