Representatives Montserrat Murillo López and Evelyn Sánchez Sánchez presented an initiative for the creation of the Law on Prior, Free and Informed Consultation of Indigenous and Afro-Mexican Peoples and Communities, which proposes to guarantee essential procedural rights such as access to information, participation in decision-making and access to justice, both for native communities and for migrants based in Baja California.
