Wille Rydman appointed Finland’s social affairs and health minister
Finland’s Finns Party has appointed Wille Rydman as social affairs and health minister, replacing Kaisa Juuso. The move comes as the government prepares further savings in social and healthcare spending.
Kaisa Juuso announced last week that she would be leaving her position. The Finns Party's press conference on the ministerial election will begin at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Former Minister of Economic Affairs Wille Rydman will become the new Minister of Social Affairs and Health. Rydman is the proposal of party chair Riikka Purra.
The Finns Party has chosen Wille Rydman as the new Minister of Social Affairs and Health. Chairwoman Riikka Purra announced the news at a press conference in Helsinki on Wednesday evening after a meeting of the Finns Party's party government and parliamentary group.
Extensive austerity demands were never implemented under Juuso's leadership. Now it will be Rydman's task to continue the work.
