The rain over the past two days was a start, but we still have a long way to go to get out of this drought. Concord and Kannapolis are moving to mandatory water restrictions starting next Friday, and that would include a limited lawn watering schedule and prohibiting washing of your car at home.  This aligns with several other cities and counties in our area that will also start mandatory water restrictions on the 15th.
