EU countries have seen record-breaking rates of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as syphilis and gonorrhea, according to a recent report published by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). In Poland, syphilis infections have increased more than fivefold over the past five years.
