- The incident involved a mould that fell from 26 stories, killing Yuridia Flores when it accelerated out of the side of the building.
- EllisDon faced additional fines totaling $689,000 for two other crane accidents in Vancouver and Victoria this year, despite no serious injuries occurring.
- WorkSafeBC stated that Flores should not have been in the area of the accident and identified multiple violations by both companies related to safety protocols.
