Comox’s 442 Transport and Rescue Squadron Deployed to Medevac Mission in Bute Inlet

The injured crewmember was hoisted into a CH-149 Cormorant helicopter and handed to BC Emergency Health Services, officials said.

The 442 Transport and Rescue Squadron from 19 Wing Comox conducted a medical evacuation of an injured tugboat crewmember on June 26. The squadron was deployed under the command of the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) Victoria for the medical evacuation, with a CH-149 Cormorant helicopter (callsign RSCU 915) tasked to respond.
