Community to celebrate cultural heritage of Anza-Borrego Desert at Archaeology Day next month

An Archaeology Day celebrating the cultural heritage of Native Americans who lived in the Anza-Borrego Desert for thousands of years is scheduled for Nov. 8 at the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park Visitor Center and nearby Begole Archaeology Research Center.
