More than 250,000 Pool Toys Recalled Due to Risk They Pose to Children
The 30-pack toys were sold for $17 to $22, and the company will replace the sticks with redesigned versions that meet federal rules.
- On June 11, Joyce recalled 254,000 Sloosh Dive Sticks after the Consumer Product Safety Commission identified an impalement hazard posed by the hard plastic toys.
- Sold online at Amazon, Temu, Shein, Walmart and Target from February 2019 through Oct. 23, 2025, the sticks cost between $17 and $22 as part of a 30-pack.
- Each cylinder-shaped stick measures about 7 inches long and less than 1 inch in diameter. In shallow water, children could fall on the devices, resulting in "serious piercing injuries," the report reads.
- Consumers should stop using the sticks immediately and photograph discarded items to email Joyce at support@joyin.com to receive redesigned replacements meeting federal regulations.
- Joyce reports no injuries as of June 11, while other toys in the 30-pack, including diving rings and fish, remain safe for consumers to use.
