Commemorative service to be hosted for the 80th anniversary of VJ Day

A commemorative service will be hosted in Swinton for the 80th anniversary of Victory over Japan Day (VJ Day) this week.  The announcement was made by Salford City Council, who will host a a special commemorative service at the Cenotaph in Swinton from 11:40am on Friday 15 August.
