‘Coming out of my shell’: Texas Special Children’s Project hosts 24th patriotic ball

The 4th of July festivities kicked off early Tuesday night on the dance floor of the Green Rose Garden Center in Longview. “It’s different for me because there’s a lot of people and I haven’t been used to people, this much of a crowd, because it’s scary, but it’s also fun. I think I’m coming out of my shell,” said one attendee.
