Comedian Carrot Top hospitalized in Las Vegas, reports say

On Friday, comedian Carrot Top was hospitalized in Las Vegas, his representative Jami Schlicher confirmed on Saturday. The 61-year-old performer is recovering and receiving necessary care, though the cause remains undisclosed.
Scott Thompson, known professionally as Carrot Top, has hosted a residency at the Luxor Hotel & Casino since 2005, performing prop-based comedy for more than 20 years in Las Vegas.
Schlicher stated Thompson is "recovering in the hospital and is receiving the care and support he needs." The Luxor Hotel & Casino called him a "beloved member" of their family.
The Luxor Hotel & Casino confirmed that Carrot Top's shows on Friday and Saturday were canceled following the emergency. No timeline for his return to the stage has been announced.
Thompson, who appeared in the 2024 television show "Hacks," has largely stayed out of the public eye in recent years. He remains known for his "large and unruly mane of red hair" and Las Vegas entertainment legacy.
