Columbia nearing completion on storm drainage issues

For decades, heavy rain in downtown Columbia has meant more than just wet sidewalks. Flash flooding and overwhelmed drainage systems have long created problems for businesses and roadways throughout the area. Now, city officials say progress is being made as work continues on a major drainage and sewage improvement project.
