Colorado bill would increase penalties on drivers for passing lane violations, require court appearance for repeat speeding

Senate Bill 35 aims to reduce crashes by doubling penalty points for passing violations and mandating court appearances for repeat speeders, amid 701 traffic deaths statewide in 2025.
