A team of researchers from the University of Granada is working on a pioneering project called MFCBioFactory, which seeks to revolutionize the management of saline waste water by turning it into a sustainable energy source.

The Biowaste Treatment Plant planned at Colmenar Viejo will provide green energy to more than 30,000 people.
