The Volkerak Bridge (A29) near Willemstad was completely closed on Tuesday afternoon. A vehicle collided with a barrier. The traffic jam on the A29 near Willemstad built up rapidly around midday. Initially, the entire road was closed. Around 12:10, one lane in the southbound direction was opened. Not much later, the entire carriageway towards Rotterdam was clear again. The diversions were lifted around 12:15.
