A motor vehicle collision east of Burns Lake resulted in a brief closure of Hwy 16 on Aug. 24. At 9:27 a.m. Burns Lake RCMP received a call for service for a crash between a tractor trailer and a pickup truck on the 9800-block of Hwy 16. An east-bound semi-truck veered left into oncoming traffic, striking a pickup truck in the west-bound lane.
