Coke Canada Bottling Grows Iconic ‘Red Fleet’ with Addition of Volvo Electric Trucks in BC and Quebec

- On Monday, Coke Canada Bottling deployed three new Volvo VNR Electric trucks to its Quebec City operations, with four additional vehicles arriving soon in Vancouver, growing the national electric fleet to nearly 40.
- The expansion builds on a successful 2023 pilot program in Montreal, Quebec, where Volvo VNR Electric trucks proved effective for predictable local and regional delivery routes.
- To support the new vehicles, Coke Canada Bottling installed one 180kw Heliox Flex charger in Quebec City and two in Vancouver. Matthew Blackman, managing director, Canada, Volvo Trucks North America, said the technology fits "everyday fleet operations."
- Tony Chow, president of Coke Canada Bottling, said the company is committed to "responsibly managing our environmental footprint" while reducing carbon emissions across operations.
- While competitors like PepsiCo explore Tesla partnerships, Coca-Cola is scaling its Volvo fleet; Volvo has deployed more than 5,000 all-electric trucks globally and logged well over 100 million zero-emission miles.
