The Abbey of the Holy Cross of the Valley of the Fallen hosted the abbatial blessing of Friar Alfredo Maroto Herranz, OSB, on Wednesday. He was elected abbot by the Benedictine community on May 13th. The ceremony, presided over by Cardinal José Cobo, took place while legal proceedings related to the actions taken by the government at the site, following the agreement signed between the Executive and the Archbishop of Madrid, remain open.
