Budget talks between coalition parties D66, VVD, and CDA will continue on Friday, insiders told BNR late Thursday. The parties have not reached an agreement. A budget must be ready by September 1 to be submitted to the Council of State for review before Prinsjesdag.
Prime Minister Rob Jetten (D66) is in talks with coalition party leaders and cabinet key figures about next year's budget. Deputy Prime Minister and VVD leader Dilan Yeşilgöz, Minister Eelco Heinen (Finance, VVD), CDA leader Henri Bontenbal, and his party colleague Deputy Prime Minister Bart van den Brink (CDA) have joined them at the Ministry of Finance.
