NDLEA Arraigns Drug Baron, Three Mexican Nationals over Illicit Drugs
The defendants are accused of producing 2.4 tonnes of methamphetamine and holding precursor chemicals worth more than N480 billion, the agency said.

- Coordinated raids in Lagos and neighbouring Ogun State between May 16 and 18 led to the arrests, with the alleged kingpin Anochili Innocent apprehended at his residence in Lakowe, Lekki.
- Defendants face an 11-count charge including conspiracy and production of 2,419kg of methamphetamine; seized drugs and precursor chemicals hold an estimated value of $363 million.
- Justice Musa Kakaki ordered the defendants remanded at the Lagos Correctional Centre after all pleaded not guilty, adjourning the case to July 16 and 22 for trial and bail hearings.
- NDLEA Chairman Mohamed Marwa termed the bust one of the agency's biggest breakthroughs against "industrial-scale drug manufacturing," warning that Nigeria will not become a base for international drug cartels.
