A study by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), which has the collaboration of the National Center for Oncological Research (CNIO), on the treatment of acral melanoma, alerts the lack of research in cancer genetics in non-European populations, specifically in Latin America, Africa and Asia.
Melanoma, the most aggressive skin cancer, is not always caused by exposure to the sun.
