- Sarma highlighted the Tata Electronics semiconductor assembly, testing and packaging facility in Jagiroad, scheduled for commissioning this December, which will produce 48 million chips daily and generate around 27,000 employment opportunities.
- Positioning Assam as a gateway to ASEAN consumer markets, Sarma described these developments as "a significant step towards a stronger, self-reliant and technology-driven Bharat," aiming to build a full-stack semiconductor industry.
