The Cleveland State men had a rough night in a lengthy road trip to Alabama-Birmingham, getting routed, 101-77, on Dec. 17. The Vikings (4-9) were within five at half, but UAB blew it open from there. Chevalier Emery paced CSU with 25 points, including five 3-pointers. Dayan Nessah (18 points) and Jaidon Lipscomb (13) also reached double figures. The Vikings will host Milwaukee in Horizon League action in a 5 p.m. tipoff Dec. 21.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB Men's Basketball team (8-4) beat Cleveland State (4-9) on Wednesday night in Bartow Arena 101-77. UAB was led by Chance Westry who had 31 points and six assists on 12-of-15 shooting. Three other Blazers were in triple figures including Evan Chatman (17) Daniel Rivera (17) and Ahmad Robinson (11).
