McColl Park opened in Uptown Charlotte on Wednesday, June 18 — the 90th birthday of its eponym, retired Bank of America executive Hugh McColl Jr. The park, renovated and renamed using more than $12 million in private donations, is at the corner of Trade and Tryon streets, catty-corner from the 60-story Bank of America Corporate Center.
