ALEXANDRIA — Records fell Thursday, May 22, and Ava Loney was a part of two of them. The senior sprinter won the 100-meter dash in 12:43, but anchored Brainerd’s first-place 4x100 relay to a school-record 48.72 in the Central Lakes Conference Championship. Catherine Wakeland graduated from Grandview last week. But before she heads to Joplin to attend Missouri Southern State University and continue her career in track and field, she got to compete on her home track one more time.
