Clacton fire: Huge blaze rips through building in Essex seaside town
Firefighters from seven Essex stations extinguished a major blaze that led to the evacuation of around 70 residents and the closure of three roads, with no injuries reported.

- By 4.45am, crews from Essex Fire and Rescue Service remained at the scene battling a fully ablaze building, with Incident Commander Nick Singleton saying: `Crews have worked hard to surround the fire.`
- Jackson Road, Penfold Road and Agate Road were closed during the incident, a vehicle parked next to the building was incinerated, and no injuries have been reported.
- After extinguishing the fire, Essex County Fire & Rescue Service remained to damp down hotspots, and a fire investigation will be carried out when it is safe.
