The Covington City Council is expected to set a millage rate in late July or early August to support its fiscal year 2027 general fund budget of $46,446,998.
Assistant Finance Director Ashlan Webb said the city begins its budget process early in the year and budgets conservatively. The new budget is based on the prior year’s tax digest, with a slight increase to reflect growth in the city.
