Here’s when Pilot Butte will shut down for Independence Day

Pilot Butte will close on July 4 for Bend’s fireworks show. The summit closes July 2, with full trail and summit access resuming by July 5 at 2 p.m.

City issues fireworks permits

With Independence Day festivities approaching, the City of Okmulgee has once again opened the window for residents to obtain permits for setting off fireworks within city limits. The $20 permit is a requirement for any individual wishing to celebrate the holiday with personal fireworks on July 3, 4 or 5.
