City formalizes equity committee
The Fitchburg City Council voted unanimously at its Tuesday, Aug. 12 meeting to formally establish a seven-member Community Equity Advisory Committee - one alder and six city residents - to advise the council on inclusive practices “using an equity lens.” The committee was created last year but had been meeting on a more informal basis.
