Kentucky's Second Case of Chronic Wasting Disease Confirmed in Pulaski County
The North Dakota Game and Fish Department will test deer from multiple units including Grand Forks and Fargo to monitor Chronic Wasting Disease during the 2025 hunting season.
- The North Dakota Game and Fish Department will continue its Hunter-Harvested Surveillance program during the 2025 hunting season, testing deer from units 3A1, 3A2, 3A3, 3B1, 3B2, 4A, 4B and 4C in northwestern North Dakota.
- To support surveillance, the department asks hunters to drop off adult or yearling deer heads at listed locations and use Game and Fish district offices or self-sampling kits for testing.
- Collection sites include Fleet Farm, 3730 36th St. S., Fargo and Weber's Meats, 422 Fourth Ave., Reynolds; fawns and head-shot deer cannot be tested, but heads can be sampled at Game and Fish district offices.
- Results will be available within four weeks in a hunter's Game and Fish My Account inbox, and outside targeted units hunters can use district offices, deer head collection sites, or self-sampling kits.
