DETROIT, MICHIGAN, JUL 25 – The 2025 class honors athletes and sports figures with multiple championships and historic achievements, including two Stanley Cups and Olympic gold medals.
- On Friday, July 25, the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame announced its 2025 class, headlined by Detroit Red Wings legend Chris Chelios and Detroit Pistons champion Rasheed Wallace.
- The class was selected by the Election Task Force of the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame, statewide election committee, and public vote.
- Chelios spent a decade with the Red Wings, helping win two Stanley Cups and ranking second all-time among NHL defensemen in games played.
- Scott Lesher said, `This class is filled with champions at all levels,` while Jordan Field added, `We appreciate the thousands of Michigan sports fans who helped select this class.`
- The induction ceremony will take place on Dec. 19 at the Sound Board Theater in MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit.
