- Former housekeeper Maria Avila sued Brown in 2021 after she was allegedly mauled by Hades, a Caucasian Shepherd, at his home on December 20, 2020. She claimed the dog attacked her while she was working outside the property.
- Avila alleged the dog ripped "3 to 4 inches of skin off her arm" and bit her legs and face. Brown conceded through counsel that the dog brutalized her, accepting partial responsibility for her injuries.
- Cotton dismissed the case after a juror "violated admonitions against searching the internet for information" and "shared it." Lawyers are currently selecting a new jury from an assembled group.
- Brown, 37, called the $90 million damages request "crazy" while preparing to co-headline the Raymond and Brown Tour with Usher this summer. The court ordered him to return Thursday morning for proceedings.
