Brewers' Jackson Chourio Joins Exclusive Club by Producing Three 20-Homer Seasons Before Turning 23
The 22-year-old became the 17th player to reach three 20-homer seasons before age 23 and did it despite a hand fracture.
On Aug 29, Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio hit his 20th home run of the season in a 5-3 victory over the Texas Rangers.
The 17th player to record three 20-homer seasons before turning 23 years old, Chourio joins a star-studded fraternity including Hall of Famers Ted Williams, Eddie Mathews, Mickey Mantle, Frank Robinson, and Orlando Cepeda.
Despite fracturing a bone in his left hand while playing for Venezuela in the World Baseball Classic this year, Chourio reached the 20-homer mark again. The Brewers signed him to an eight-year, $82 million contract in 2023.
As Milwaukee boasts the best record in the major leagues, the Brewers are chasing their first World Series title in franchise history. Manager Pat Murphy noted Chourio continues developing as a player.
Chourio is ready for a bigger prize, focusing on team success. He said his goal is to continue winning and win it all this year.
