The Senate today approved a bill which raised the minimum percentage of cacao required for products sold as chocolate and creates new rotation rules in the country. The text follows for presidential sanctions. The proposal was originating in the Senate, but was amended by the House of Representatives in March, which changed definitions, withdrawn terms such as “margo” and “mejo amargo” and set new technical parameters.
The proposal is followed by the sentence of President Lula.
