China's Rise and Economic Influence in the South Caucasus

For several decades, China has gradually established itself as a key player in Eurasia, notably through its Pharaonic New Silk Road Initiative (BRI) launched in 2013. While the South Caucasus was initially not one of Beijing's priority strategic axes, recent geopolitical developments, including the war in Ukraine and Western sanctions against Russia, have redefined regional balances and increased Chinese interest in this region.
