China's first high-speed railway built for extreme cold in the country's northeast region handles 1 billion passenger trips

As of June 17, 2025, the Harbin-Dalian high-speed railway (Harbin-Dalian HSR) has safely handled more than 1 billion passenger trips, the railway’s operator China Railway Harbin Bureau Group Co told the Global Times in a statement.
