- On Tuesday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said China mediated tensions this year including India and Pakistan, northern Myanmar, the Iranian nuclear issue, Palestine and Israel, and Cambodia and Thailand.

- New Delhi says the May 7-10 Operation Sindoor ceasefire was resolved through direct DGMO talks, including a May 10 phone call at 15:35 hours, while Lt General Rahul R Singh accused China of backing Pakistan using "35 stratagems" and supplying over 81% of Pakistan's military hardware.
- Wang Yi said this year China invited the leaders of India and the DPRK to visit China as part of diplomatic outreach, noting China-India relations showed good momentum and the SCO summit in Tianjin was a resounding success with Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited for August.
- Amid global strain, Wang warned this year economic globalisation met setbacks and said the China-U.S. relationship is consequential as President Donald Trump and Xi Jinping guided it through troubled waters.
