China has tested a new healthcare model in which artificial intelligence ceases to be an isolated tool to become the axis of an ophthalmological clinic. AI-TEC, developed by researchers from the University of Tsinghua, integrates AI agents into virtually the entire care process, including eye scans and subsequent follow-up.
At an experimental eye clinic in China, almost every element of the medical workflow has been entrusted to artificial intelligence.
