China has achieved a major breakthrough in copper and gold exploration, with the Chating porphyry copper-polymetallic deposit found in Xuancheng, east China's Anhui Province emerging as the largest of its kind in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
[Cable News] Mineral exploration in the Chating area of Xuancheng, Anhui Province, has made groundbreaking progress and is expected to be developed into a super-large copper and gold production base in East China, becoming a key project in the first year of the "15th Five-Year Plan".
China's geologists found an ore array in Anhui province with large reserves of gold and copper, with potential gold reserves estimated at more than 200 tons and copper in millions of tons reported by China's Central Television.
