CHINA Beijing's Empty Efforts on Marriages (and Births) Still Falling

With the growing demographic crisis, local authorities multiply subsidies and even text messages to promote marriages and family projects among young people. But the results remain scarce: in the first three months of 2025 the weddings decreased by an additional 8%. And rather than the apps and dating sites promoted by the government, Chinese single young people prefer to rely on video chat.
