A voice phishing gang based in a call center in Jilin Province, China, has been busted for deceiving 118 Koreans and stealing 10.2 billion won. It was revealed that the criminals used malicious apps to intercept victims' calls and impersonate investigative agencies. The Gangwon Provincial Police Agency has detained and transferred six arrested Korean members of the organization to the prosecution and is continuing its investigation.
